What each class screen actually shows
| Class | Observed role and ability | Who should preview it |
|---|---|---|
| Warrior | Free starter candidate. Its detailed ability panel was not opened in the selected recording. | Players considering Warrior should use TRY IT OUT and read its current kit before confirming. |
| Ranger | Ranged · Skirmish, a sprint-like ability. | Players who want to pressure enemies from a distance. |
| Rogue | Burst · Shadow Step, a smoke-roll escape followed by a short shadow state. | Players who want focused damage and a quick escape. |
| Mage | Area · Blink. The final starter confirmation shows Inferno Fork. | Players who want crowd coverage and repositioning. |
| Healer | 2,000 Essence displayed; detailed kit not inspected. | A later unlock to inspect in the live class screen. |
| Engineer | 2,000 Essence displayed; detailed kit not inspected. | A later unlock to inspect in the live class screen. |
These are September 13, 2026 screen observations, not a measured damage tier list. Check the current class panel before spending Essence.
Make the free choice deliberately
The confirmation says the free choice is permanent and that other classes can be unlocked and switched to later. “One free starter” means one selection, not four simultaneous free unlocks.
Select a class and read its role and ability. A class name alone does not tell you its exact stats.
Use TRY IT OUT. Move and use the ability so you can judge the playstyle before committing.
Browse the weapon previews with PREVIOUS/NEXT if useful, then open the class confirmation.
Check the starter weapon and ability on that final screen. Confirm only when those are the rewards you intend to accept.
Mage example: preview versus actual reward
The player scrolls through the Mage carousel, including Prismatic Lance. The final confirmation instead names Inferno Fork and Blink. Use the final panel as your reference for the starter you receive.
Other previewed Mage names are Lunar Flare and Magnet Sphere. Ranger previews include Longshot, Onyx Blaster and Skipping Stone. Rogue previews include Vendetta, Shiv and Cutthroat. These are observed preview entries; the guide does not label every one as a free starter weapon.
The opened previews give a useful contrast: Onyx Blaster combines spread pellets with an exploding dark crystal, Magnet Sphere fires repeated beams at nearby enemies, and Shiv protects behind the player with stabbing knives. These observed behaviors help you decide what to try; they do not establish a damage ranking.
Use the class ability before you are trapped
The recorded PC interface uses Q for the class ability. Ranger shows Skirmish during the tutorial; after the Mage choice it shows Blink. Keep the ability’s own description in mind and use movement while a safe destination is still available.
A practical comparison: if you prefer attacking before enemies get close, preview Ranger first. If you prefer covering a crowd while retaining a repositioning option, preview Mage. These are role-based suggestions, not a claim that either wins every map.
